Who this guide is for
You run WooCommerce and want orders, products, and analytics one click away on the admin bar—with optional live counts on orders.
What EdminBoost adds
- Shortcut links on the black admin bar (WooCommerce, Orders, Products, etc.).
- Optional badges (for example unread/processing orders) from your site’s own data—no external API.
- Slide-out panels for heavy screens (for example analytics) without leaving the current page.
Quick start
- Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
- EdminBoost → Layout Presets → choose Shop Manager (under by use case).
- Click Save.
- Log in and check the top bar; adjust on Top Bar if needed.
What the Shop Manager preset includes
Typical shortcuts:
- Dashboard
- WooCommerce
- Orders (often with an order badge when configured)
- Products
- Analytics (often opens in a slide-out drawer)
Your site’s plugins may add extra entries in the discovered list on the Top Bar page.
Fine-tune the top bar
Go to EdminBoost → Top Bar.
- Add or remove links from the discovered list (search helps find WooCommerce screens).
- For Orders, set Badge source to WooCommerce orders if you want a live count on the bar.
- Other badge options (when available): pending reviews, comments, updates, form entries (if WPForms is present)—all read local data only.
- Choose Redirect to open the full screen, or Drawer for a side panel (see the drawer workflow guide).
- Click Save.
Panel settings for drawers
If any link uses Drawer:
- Open Panel & badges below the canvas (it enables when at least one drawer link exists).
- Set width (compact, standard, full screen, or custom width), animation speed, and badge style.
- Click Save.
Sidebar for shop staff
Go to Menu Studio:
- Put WooCommerce, Products, and Orders high in the sidebar.
- Hide marketing or developer menus shop managers do not need.
- Save.
Role-based setup
On Layout Presets:
- Assign Shop Manager preset to Shop manager role (or a custom role).
- Use the visibility matrix so cashiers or staff only see orders and products, not settings or plugins.
- Save.
Tips
- Order badges refresh on an interval you set under Panel & badges (badge refresh rate).
- If a link 404s, the plugin slug may differ—pick the screen from the discovered list instead of typing paths.
- Pair with Theme declutter so the default WordPress bar stays minimal and your Woo shortcuts stand out.
