When it appears
- Automatically after first activation (redirect unless bulk-activating)

What it configures One save applies:
- A layout preset (top bar links + sidebar Menu Studio config)
- A visual color theme
- Marks setup complete (
onboarding_completed)
The four steps

Navigation
- Next / Back buttons move between steps (single-page stepper; steps are shown/hidden with JS)
- Final step: Save and launch submits the form
Default preset Wizard starts with Client’s Website (system_client) unless that preset is unavailable.
Layout preset groups
- By use case: Friend’s Website, Family Member’s Site, Client’s Website, Your Own Website, Small Business, Nonprofit / Community, Freelancer / Agency, etc.
- By role: One preset per editable WordPress role (Administrator, Editor, Author, …)
- Your saved layouts: Custom presets you create later on the Layouts page
After save
- Page reloads to the Dashboard overview (wizard hidden)
- Command Center tab nav appears
- Top bar items render on
#wpadminbaron admin (and front end when logged in with admin bar showing) - Visual theme CSS applies across wp-admin
Re-running setup If you clear top bar items and onboarding_completed, the wizard returns. Normally you adjust layout/theme from Dashboard overview cards or individual CC pages instead.
Tip You do not need every detail perfect in the wizard. Change layout, theme, and top bar anytime from Layouts, Theme, and Top Bar.
