Connect sites

The client checklist panel is a small must-use package that runs inside client wp-admin. It is required for client-visible checklists.

What clients see

  • Active checklist run with progress
  • Manual step checkboxes and instructions
  • Optional notes and screenshots (when the step allows)
  • Deep links into relevant wp-admin screens
  • Layout and title set on the hub (Settings and/or checklist builder)

One-time setup per site

Community hub (manual)

  1. Connect the site with an Application Password.
  2. Download the bootstrap / bundle from Client checklist panel setup (Sites modal, onboarding, or connection tester).
  3. Upload to wp-content/mu-plugins/ on the client server (loader + checklistdek-client/ folder as documented in the download).
  4. On the hub: Retry panel install until detected.
  5. Push a run—the panel should show the snapshot.

Pro hub (auto-deploy when possible)

  • Saving or testing a site with credentials may deploy the bundle automatically.
  • You can still use manual upload on restrictive hosts.
  • Refresh Client Panel on an active run re-pushes snapshot and can sync the bundle.

Panel layouts (hub Settings)

Layouts control how the panel appears on client wp-admin (sidebar, top bar, dock, pill, etc.). Community builds offer a subset; Pro offers the full set. Changes apply on the next push or Refresh Client Panel.

Who can see the panel on the client site

Users need the read capability. If steps define target roles, the logged-in user must match at least one role (empty roles = any logged-in user with read). Administrators always see the panel when a run is active.
