Who is ChecklistDek for?
Agencies, freelancers, and in-house teams managing multiple WordPress sites with repeatable checklists and client-visible progress in wp-admin.
Is a plugin required on client sites?
Yes—the must-use client checklist panel in mu-plugins/. There is no supported workflow without it.
Can I skip the mu-plugin?
No. Email or hub-only tracking does not replace the in-dashboard experience.
Do I need MainWP or WP Umbrella?
No. They only help import site lists and (on Pro) push the panel in some setups.
Community vs Pro?
Community: unlimited hub sites, core features, manual panel, smaller template set, three layouts. Pro/Agency: full templates, vault, capture, notifications, scheduled drift, auto-deploy, nine layouts. See Plans.
Are passwords safe?
When encryption is enabled, Application Passwords are stored encrypted and are not exposed in REST or audit views for unauthorized users.
What talks to the internet?
Only sites you register, webhooks/email you configure (Pro), and connector APIs when you sync—plus Freemius on full builds for licensing updates.
WooCommerce required?
No. Some templates mention WooCommerce; the hub works with standard WordPress.
Local hub?
Yes. REST fallback handles some broken permalink setups.
What happens on uninstall?
Hub data is removed. Client mu-plugins stay until you delete them. Export checklists first if you need history.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Purchase from Asphalt Themes, install the full package, activate license, continue using the same database.
