Targeting & Rules tab (Pro)

Control look, layout, spacing, and motion. The preview includes a mobile device view on this tab so you can check responsive layout and icon sizes.

Theme

Pick a visual style for the badge set.

  • Theme preset — Applies background, typography, and accent styling. Each option shows color swatches.
  • Customize theme colors — Fine-tune background, accent, and corner radius (0–32px). Reset per theme or all at once.
  • Padding & margin — Adjust inner spacing and vertical space above/below the badge set (0–48px).
  • Icon alignment — Left, center, or right.
  • Layout style — How heading, text, and icons are arranged (see table below).

Free: 5 theme presets plus Custom Color.
Pro: All 21 theme presets plus Custom Color.

LayoutBest for

Heading & text styling

Separate controls for heading and body text:

  • Size (10–48px)
  • Alignment (left, center, right)
  • Color (color picker)

These apply on top of any theme preset.

Icon size

  • Desktop — Icon size on larger screens (16–128px).
  • Mobile — Icon size on small screens (16–128px).

Use the mobile preview to confirm icons look right on phones.

Animation

Choose an entrance animation for the badge set. Each option shows a live preview in the dropdown.

Free: None, Fade in, Fade up.
Pro: All 23 animation presets (slide, zoom, bounce, pulse, glow, and more).

Animations respect the visitor’s reduced motion preference.

Placement tab

Choose where this badge set appears automatically on your site. You can also narrow placements with optional filters.

Automatic placements

Select one or more locations. Options are grouped by area (Site, WooCommerce, EDD, SureCart, FluentCart, MemberPress, RCP, PMPro, GiveWP). Options for plugins you don’t have installed appear disabled with a short note.

Leave empty if you only want to use the block or shortcode.

Common choices:

AreaExamples
SiteBefore/after content, homepage, all pages, blog posts, footer
WooCommerceProduct page, shop, cart, checkout, thank-you page
EDDDownload page, checkout, receipt
Other e-commerceProduct and checkout placements when each plugin is active

Specific page and Custom page path placements work together with the filters below.

Product categories (WooCommerce)

Optional. Limit product and shop placements to selected categories. Leave empty to show on all categories. Child categories inherit parent selections.

Product tags (WooCommerce)

Optional. Limit product and shop placements to selected tags. Leave empty to show on all tags.

Specific pages

Optional. Choose individual WordPress pages. This filter applies only when Specific page is selected under Automatic placements. The control stays disabled until that placement is checked.

Custom page paths

Optional. Enter one URL path per line (e.g. /pricing/landing). Applies only when Custom page path is selected under Automatic placements.

WooCommerce product override

On individual products, you can assign a different badge set via the product editor sidebar. That override takes priority over automatic placements for that product.

Placement tab is fully available on Free and Pro.

Targeting & Rules tab (Pro)

Available in Trustbadg Pro only. Use this tab when you need smarter display rules beyond basic placement.

Download categories (Easy Digital Downloads)

Optional. Limit download-page placements to selected EDD categories. Leave empty for all downloads.

Geo-targeted payment badges

Show payment icons relevant to the visitor’s country and hide other regional payment icons in the same badge set. Universal icons (e.g. Visa, SSL) always stay visible.

  • Toggle Enable IP-Based Geo-Targeting on or off.
  • Use Preview by country in the editor to see how badges look for different regions (preview only; not saved as a setting).

Country detection uses your server or WooCommerce geolocation — no external API calls. If the country can’t be detected, regional icons fall back to those in your default badge set (Trustbadg Badges → Settings → Badges).

Category & product-specific badges

Append extra trust or guarantee icons when cart contents or the product being viewed match your rules.

  • Toggle Enable Conditional Product Rules.
  • Apply rules — Choose which rules run on the storefront.
  • Manage rules — Create rules with:
    • Trigger — Category, tag, SKU (WooCommerce), download category (EDD), collection (SureCart), or category (FluentCart).
    • Icons — One or more icons added when the rule matches.

Each icon can belong to only one rule. Rules can consider both cart items and the current product page.

Editor preview can show conditional icons when rules are enabled, so you can verify the mix before publishing.

Recommended workflow

  1. Content — Pick a preset or build a custom icon mix; add heading and text if needed.
  2. Design — Choose theme and layout; set desktop/mobile icon sizes; check the mobile preview.
  3. Placement — Select automatic locations and any category, tag, page, or path filters.
  4. Targeting & Rules (Pro) — Enable geo-targeting or conditional rules if your store needs them.
  5. Publish — Confirm the live preview, then publish and test on a product or checkout page.

Tips

  • Use separate badge sets when messaging differs (e.g. checkout payment icons vs. product-page guarantees).
  • Place payment and security badges near checkout and payment areas, not only in the footer.
  • For WooCommerce, pair product category filters with product or shop placements so badges appear only where they’re relevant.
  • Enable Retain data on uninstall (Settings → Privacy) before switching between Free and Pro if you might delete the plugin during an upgrade.
