Rezicraft resumes are standard WordPress block content. This article covers practical editing workflows.
Opening a resume for editing
You can edit a resume from:
- Rezicraft → Resumes — click the resume title or Edit
- Posts list at
edit.php?post_type=rezicraft_resume - The Edit Resume link in the admin bar when viewing a public resume while logged in
Understanding the editor canvas
The block editor applies Rezicraft template CSS to the editing area. What you see in the canvas closely matches the published page — including template layout, color palette, font, and headshot visibility.
The editor sidebar shows standard WordPress document settings (status, visibility, slug, publish date).
Blocks you will use most
| Block | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Heading | Your name (H1), section titles (H2), sub-headings |
| Paragraph | Summary text, job titles, contact line, skill rows |
| List | Experience bullet points, certificate lists |
| Columns | Side-by-side content (interests, some template layouts) |
| Group | Section wrappers created by the template |
| Image | Professional headshot (Pro) |
Rezicraft does not require custom blocks. Use the blocks already in WordPress core.
Editing the header
The top of every resume typically includes:
- Your full name (heading block)
- Professional title (paragraph, centered)
- Contact line (paragraph — phone • email • LinkedIn • location)
Keep the contact line concise and scannable.
Editing experience entries
Experience sections use a repeating pattern:
- Company name and location on one row
- Role title and dates on the next row
- Bullet list of achievements below
Use strong action verbs and quantify results where possible (“Increased sales by 25%”, “Managed team of 8”).
To add a new role, duplicate an existing block group or insert new heading/paragraph/list blocks following the same pattern.
Adding or removing sections
- Add a section — insert a Heading block for the section title, then add content blocks below
- Remove a section — select the section blocks and delete them
- Reorder sections — drag blocks or block groups using the editor drag handles
Use Template vs Edit — when editing existing work
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Edit (from Templates page) | Opens your latest resume for that template |
| Use Template | Creates a brand-new draft — does not overwrite existing resumes |
To avoid accidentally creating duplicates, use Edit when updating an existing resume.
Switching templates
You cannot convert an existing resume to a different template automatically. To change layouts:
- Click Use Template on the new layout
- Copy content from your old resume into the new draft
- Publish the new resume and trash the old one if no longer needed
Autosave and revisions
WordPress autosave and post revisions work normally. Use Browse revisions in the editor if you need to restore earlier content.
Pro appearance per resume
Each resume stores its own palette, font, and headshot settings from when it was created. Changing global Filters on the Templates page affects new resumes created via Use Template, not automatically retroactive on old posts unless you update appearance meta through editing flows tied to template use.
