Follow this walkthrough to go from a fresh install to a published, shareable resume.
Step 1 — Open the template gallery
- Log in to WordPress admin.
- Click Rezicraft → Templates.
You see available templates as cards. On the free plan, only General is available.
Step 2 — (Pro) Set your appearance filters
If you have Pro, use the Filters sidebar:
- Pick a color palette that fits your industry
- Choose Show or Hide for headshot
- Select a font
Filters update template previews instantly.
Step 3 — Preview (optional)
Click Preview on a template to see it full-size with your filter selections. Use the navigation controls to browse adjacent templates.
When you are satisfied, return to the gallery or click Use Template from the preview screen.
Step 4 — Use Template
Click Use Template on your chosen layout.
Rezicraft will:
- Create a new draft resume post titled like “General Resume” (based on template name)
- Insert structured sample content (name, summary, experience, etc.) as Gutenberg blocks
- Save your template, palette, font, and headshot preferences on the post
- Redirect you to the block editor
Step 5 — Replace sample content
Work through the draft top to bottom:
- Name and title — replace the placeholder name and job title
- Contact line — update phone, email, LinkedIn, and location
- Summary — write 2–4 sentences about your professional background
- Skills — edit categories and skill lists
- Experience — update companies, roles, dates, and bullet points
- Education — add your degrees and schools
- Certificates & interests — update or remove sections you do not need
Delete any section you do not want by removing its blocks.
Step 6 — (Pro) Add your headshot
If headshot is set to Show:
- Find the Image block at the top of the resume
- Click to upload your photo (recommended 400×400 px, square)
- Confirm it looks correct in the editor preview
Step 7 — Set the post title and slug
In the editor sidebar:
- Set an internal title (e.g. “Product Manager Resume 2026”) — this helps you identify the resume in the admin list
- Edit the URL slug to something professional (e.g.
jane-doe-product-manager)
The public page hides the WordPress title; visitors see your resume header content instead.
Step 8 — Publish
- Click Publish (or Save draft if you are not ready)
- Confirm publication
- Click View Resume to open the public page
Your resume is now live at:
TXTCopy
https://yoursite.com/resume/your-slug/
Step 9 — Share
Copy the URL and send it to recruiters, add it to your LinkedIn profile, or link it from your website menu.
On Pro, enable PDF download and Email to Recruiter in Settings for additional sharing options.
Creating another resume
Return to Rezicraft → Templates and click Use Template again. Each click creates a separate draft — useful for different job targets or languages.
